It’s no surprise that life can be incredibly stressful and overwhelming. From lengthy work hours to endless errands, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life. That’s why self-care is so important – not just for your mental health but also your physical health! One way to practice self-care is by taking a ‘reality break’ – a period where you step away from your obligations and focus on yourself. Here are some ways to take a reality break:
Tea has long been used as an ancient remedy for calming the body and mind, but it can also be used as self-care! Whether it’s chamomile, green tea, or oolong, find one that you enjoy and relax with some delicious tea each day! Click here to shop tea by mood. It’s a great place to start! Take some time out of your day to tune into yourself. Meditation can help reduce stress levels and increase concentration. I do at least a 15-minute mediation as a daily practice. It is at the top of my list for self-care! Click here for my Youtube playlist of all of my favorite guided meditations. It is constantly being updated!
A few simple stretches can be great for releasing tension from your body or helping clear your mind. Try yoga or move around in whatever way feels comfortable! Click here to watch my favorite Youtube yoga instructor! This counts for your physical and mental self-care!
Nature has a unique way of calming us down and helping us appreciate the beauty in our lives. Go outside for a walk or sit in nature for a little while to connect with yourself again.
Taking these breaks will leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way! So next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t forget to take that reality break – it will do wonders for your mental and physical health.
